We have probably taken around 200 pics today of the boys...poor little guys they are overwhelmed but are real troopers. The whole process of "Gotcha Day" is so odd. You go to the Civil Affairs Building and go into small rooms. You walk by other rooms with families either waiting or struggling with their new babies who are screaming...very unnerving. They gave us our own room b/c we have such a large group. We were all very calm yet at one point I thought that I would just lose it - then in Gods great timing they brought in the boys to meet us. Shockingly, I did not cry...Bob and I are just so darn happy to have these adorable little boys that the joy overtook all other emotions. Our fabulous boys did not shed a tear when we met them and big brother Sam was a champ by sharing his toys. Matthew, the oldest, is smart and reserved. He can speak a few words of Chinese so we have been communicating with him a little bit. He is quick to mimic Sam and even said "gotcha" at dinner tonight...his first English word. Alex is a little elf...quick to smile and laugh but always trying to figure things out. He is active for sure! As soon as we put the kids in the strollers to go for a walk, Alex was trying to figure the buckle then looking down to see how the wheels worked. He is very inquisitive and funny. They eat good. Alex will eat anything. Matthew will eat anything but hoards the food in his cheeks until he almost chokes...bless his heart. They both sleep well...and Alex is a dream to get down to sleep. Matthew will only let Mama put him to bed and he is scared - I can see it in his eyes as he looks around the room. Once he goes to sleep however he is out!
Here are some more pics of the grandmothers and their new grandsons as well as some groups shots. Will send more tomorrow. Love yall!
